Aree Witoelar: East/West Status Best
This workshop visits how status is omnipresent in Asian societies, and see how this can be helpful or detrimental to improv. Students take away the understanding of (sometimes invisible) status play that govern real-life interactions and how to play with humor within the confines of status. This will help you in the future for improvising with more people, especially with those from different cultural backgrounds.
Suitable for students who have been improvising for a couple of years, feel comfortable with long-form improvisation, and have an understanding of status through a Western lens.
