What’s this Class?
A workshop that looks at what we personally like and dislike about improv. We then explore how we can indulge more of what we love (Improv Heaven) and learn to enjoy improv that is not our personal taste (Improv Hell). Each participant will get the chance to indulge their "Improv Heaven" or be served a way to enjoy their "Improv Hell" decided by the toss of a coin.
Who’s this for?
As this is a reflective workshop - some experience of improv would aid enjoyment.
About your Teacher
I have been teaching improv in some capacity for 20 years. I never attended a specific "school" of improv - so I have developed my own style through reading and taking workshops from a wide range of practitioners.
My style of workshop is to push reflective practice. Analysing our personal moves, motives and experiences to create something we personally want to create. Theatrical, without ever forgetting the joy of comic improv.
I have taught/coached as co-director of Open Heart Theatre in Newcastle. Currently run SaSS improv in Sheffield and taught at festivals in the UK, France and Ireland.
