What’s this Class?

This workshop is designed to empower improvisers to develop powerful stage presence, learn to channel performance anxiety, and foster a mindset of complete openness and generosity.

By focusing on hands-on, interactive exercises with brief reflective discussions, participants will learn to radiate confidence, embrace vulnerability, and uplift their scene partners, creating an environment where everyone thrives.

Participants leave with practical tools and a deeper understanding of how to command the stage, manage nerves, and create thriving ensemble dynamics in their improv journey.

Who’s this for?

Some improv experience needed. Understanding short-and-longform mentality. The workshop is most useful for long form attitude.

About your Teacher

Zlatin is the founder of ShiZi Improv Theater in Sofia (2013), Bulgaria and Sofia International Improv Fest (2016)

A professional actor, Zlatin graduated from the 5-week Intensive and 2-week Advanced Intensive at iO Theater, Chicago. He also took part in intensives with The Annoyance in Chicago and The Showstoppers in London.

He has taught workshops in Greece and the Netherlands and participated in numerous festivals like Copenhagen, Strasburg, Athens and Lyon.

He developed a comprehensive, year-long curriculum spanning 7 levels and advanced groups. ShiZi Training Center currently hosts 160 students with Zlatin actively teaching five days a week for the past 15 years.
He regularly performs and directs a range of innovative formats, including Improv Shakespeare, Musical, and Light and Dark.

Zlatin’s passion for improv lies in its elusive, ephemeral nature — where the process itself is the ultimate goal. He chases the synergy between freedom of expression, deep partner support, and confident stage presence. Equally drawn to the ethereal, interwoven structure of The Harold, the raw truth of theatrical improv, and the over-the-top fun of improv games, Zlatin embraces every facet of the form.
